TGIF! I wore this outfit out the other night to party with my girlfriends. I'm one of those girls that has to dance in heels. It's how I've always been and I'm sure always will be. 
I always jump at the chance to take photographs with an unexpected background, such as this one. One that's not overly perfect because let's be honest not every photoshoot is. I don't know about you, but I much rather look at a blog where the photos are not ideal and the background is less than perfect and different. I find it's more "real." Happy Friday loves! What are you all up to this weekend? Our little family will be going to Family Day at Coney Island tomorrow and we are looking forward to lots of fun! The last time I rode the Cyclone Roller Coaster or any ride at Coney for that matter was when I was an itty bitty. The little kid in me comes out at amusement parks. The rest of the weekend will be played by ear, depending on the weather. It seems to be changing by the hour. Oh Mother Nature, you sure do have a silly sense of humor! 

      A look back at this week...
              - registered for my first ever 5K run at the end of July. TGIF people! Is everyone looking forward to the long weekend? Any special plans besides the typical backyard and park barbecues (yum!)? If your plans involve the pool, beach, sand, or water; consider me envious! Although the beaches open this weekend (can i get a woot!) unfortunately the weather here in NY won't be pool or beach-worthy although I'm sure that won't stop some people. And if you are taking advantage of all the Memorial Day shopping sales, TAKE ME WITH YOU! But on a more serious note, with everyone getting away for the holiday weekend and making plans for debauchery in the form of libations (that'd be me!), it's easy to forget the real meaning of what this holiday means. It's more than just a day off from work, or an excuse to eat food and drink, or take a road trip...it is observed so we can remember all of our fallen heroes. Those who were brave enough to fight for our country so we can enjoy the freedom and independence we do today. Take a moment this weekend and salute them.  Ok, now that I went all boring on you...go ahead and enjoy yourselves. Class is dismissed. :)

Happy Freaky Friday! The weekend is within reach. What are you all up to for the off days? All I'm looking forward to is relaxing {read: drink wine!} and we will wing the rest. You all know that's my favorite type of weekend. This week was emotionally draining after what happened in Boston. But in happier news, I took Noah to a Mommy & Baby Yoga Class this week and we had so much fun! I definitely recommend it for all you mommas with little ones. Bonus: a super tired baby by 7pm. For those of you who've asked, the juicing is going very well. I have lost *some inches and a few pounds since I incorporated it into my daily meals and am loving the way I am feeling. My skin definitely feels hydrated. I will be sharing a more detailed account in an upcoming post. For now, hope you all have a great weekend. See you back here on Monday.

Happy Friday! The weekend is within reach. I received my new running sneakers last week and finally got a chance to take them out for a run and they are amazing! I now know what I've been missing with a minimalist, lightweight running sneaker. What are the plans for the weekend? There is rain and snow in the forecast for tomorrow (I'm starting to sound like a broken record!) so we hope to get out and get some fresh air. We'll be channeling the Irish inside us all on Sunday, along with all of our Irish friends and people celebrating St. Patrick's Day! :) I hope to have soda bread (it's delicious!!) and it will be my first time tasting Green Beer (yeah, I know)...

Happy Friday! We made it! Any plans for the weekend? Our plans depend on this Winter Storm that is expected for the Northeast today and tomorrow. If we get hit as hard as they are predicting, we won't be going anywhere anytime soon! 

   A look back at this week: 

• - the days are getting longer. have you noticed? i did, the other day, when walking back from yet another coffee run! it was nearly 5:30 and the sun was still out but barely. 
• - had lunch with good friends in the city and did some strolling through one of our favorite neighborhoods. 
• - outfit planning for Valentine's Day. we secured reservations at one of our favorite restaurants. Super excited!
• - tried a new banana pancake recipe. the hubby loved it! 
• - found this cute site that has so much pretty in one place! 
• - any of you follow the GIRLS series on HBO? i love lena dunham's character, hannah! i  am seriously addicted.
