Happy 4th of July loves! How fitting would it have been if this necklace were red huh!? What are you all up to for today's festivities? We have two places to stop for BBQ's and if you know me, I love me some barbecue! I'll leave you with this outfit I wore last week when Larry and I went to The View. Out of the talk shows I've been to, The View is my favorite. Could be why the wait to get audience tickets is 2 years! Plus the gifts you get are not too shabby. ;)

the new york city wine and food festival {nycwff}

Larry and I had the honor of attending the Food Network's New York City Wine + Food Festival's Grand Tasting two weekends ago. This event is held every year in October, and this was their 5th year. I won tickets via Twitter for Mastercard's Priceless NY Experience. If I were to sum up the event in one word: PRICELESS! My favorites were the culinary demos with Paula Deen, Andrew Zimmern, and Rachael Ray as well as the seafood samples and the strip house steak with creamed spinach. I had way too many wine samples to remember which one I liked the best, but one drink that did stand out was the Licor 43 with heavy cream a.k.a. "little beer." Wow! To say this "little beer" was tasty is an understatement. If you want to try it, check out this quick and easy recipe.
