Happy Monday loves! How was your weekend? I spent Friday night with the girls, sans husband and baby, at Cavo Lounge in my old neighborhood. It felt good to be back there. I spent two years living in Astoria with my roommate and friend before meeting Larry. It was two years full of memories, great experiences, late nights and firsts so I hold those memories close to me. Astoria will always have a special place in my heart. But I digress. It turned out to be a great late night filled with lots of dancing and drinks. We spent the weekend at the park, strolling through our neighborhood, running errands, sleeping in, last minute shopping among other things. The weather this weekend was mixed; Saturday was the perfect weather with a high of 75 with a cool breeze but Sunday was off and on rain which is always great for sleeping and a great excuse for being lazy. We are heading to Lake George this week, we have a few stops we want to make and it'll be a first for us so if you have any recommendations on what to do or see while we are there please shoot me an email or write it in the comments. Thanks! :)

Have a great day!!!

Hey party people! How was everyone's weekend? Could it have gone any quicker!? We spent the day on Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese for my friend's daughter's graduation party. I seriously cannot remember the last time I was at one. It was fun, and we were able to put Noah on a few rides. He's still in awe of moving objects - his face registers surprise everytime we put him on a ride as if he is trying to figure who or what is moving the thing. It's the funniest thing. Father's Day was nice and relaxing; I made hubby some delicious sugar waffles, which if you've never had you simply must. They take slightly longer than regular waffles but the process is so worth it and so is the caramelization. Yum! And with that folks, the weekend was over. Womp! Womp! Thankfully, today was beautiful out and felt a lot like summer. Speaking of which, it'll officially be Summer Solstice this Friday. How are you celebrating?

Hey friends! How was everyone's weekend? Are you recovering as we are? Ours was busy, but so much fun! Coney Island called our name on Saturday and although the day started out muggy and HAWT, by the time we got there the ocean breeze quickly cooled us down. It was the perfect day to be out there. As you can see from my photos, the sky was clear and blue, the beach was packed with people, the barbecue grills wafted delicious smells through the air making anyone nearby hungry even after just eating a plate full of food; and the children were screaming at the top of their lungs with excitement at nearby Luna Park as the rides swung them back and forth. Perfect summer day! Now if only the weather would stay for awhile.

With such an exciting but exhausting day on Saturday; yesterday was spent low-key at a nearby park watching a few baseball league games and taking a 5-mile nature walk. It was a hot, sticky day but Mother Nature shined her grace on us because the whole weekend was rain-free, that is; until last night but by then I was tucked into my bedsheets completely dead to the world. Just like I like it.

Happy Monday loves! Sorry, I should have warned you this post was pic heavy. My weekend was very eventful complete with amazing weather. It started with some heavy interaction with my MacBook and quickly turned into a laundry day complete with a mani and pedi. Sunday we headed into Queens for brunch at a beer garden to help celebrate my friend's birthday. The day started out with sunshine that I swore was only for me but it quickly burst my bubble and reminded me that it's still not summer. Boooo! But the balmy weather sure was nice while it lasted. Despite us having to rush indoors because of the unforgiving wind, a great time was had by all. My favorite moments are surrounded by good friends and family, laughter, lots of food and liquid refreshments in the form of alcohol. ;)

Have a great 'only four more days 'til Friday' Monday.
