weekend recap

It's Monday again, folks! Hope your day has been easy and productive. How was your weekend? The temps around here were be-au-ti-ful! The perfect weather for some outdoor fun in the sun and clearly there was lots of pizza involved. Yummy! Here is my weekend in pictures. 

• If you live in New York and you haven't been to L&B's in Brooklyn - you. have. to. go. like now! And get their sicilian (pictured above). Let me just warn you now that people line up for these things so get there early. 

• A hot little number I wore this weekend; full outfit post coming this week. 

• We made this BBQ Chicken Cauliflower Crust Pizza and loved it! Only 150 calories per slice - ummm yeah! 

• My accessories for the day included this necklace, a vintage one, and this denim vest. 

• We took our little man to the Queens Farm Museum and had a great time feeding the animals, watching him run around, and picking out fresh produce to bring home.

{Not So} Happy Tuesday loyals! I'm presently running on 5 hours of sleep so I'm not particularly witty or chatty today. A first for me! :p But I will leave you with this: I found these ROOS sneakers during our spring cleaning this past weekend as I was digging through piles and piles (...and endless piles) of shoes, boots, and sneakers. I bought these a few summers ago with the intention of wearing them with short-shorts. In the past, I never wore sneakers beyond commuting, to exercise, or a quick run to the store. This is mainly because I have stumps for legs. I'm short, and the last thing I want to feel is shorter. Being a shawty, I much prefer the happiness that a heel provides me {I think it can and let's keep it that way mmmk?!}. 

But, short be damned, I popped these puppies on as soon as I dusted off the err, dust and went along my merry way to play outdoors. Moral of the story: I own way too much shit.

Happy Tuesday! I just want to say that I love these pants. I first saw these on targetdoesitagain's instagram account; which, by the way, if you are not following you should be. My justification for making them mine: the low price tag and they are so comfy! I got to my nearest Target and as soon as I tried them on, I snatched these babies up! I wore them in a simple way for Easter Sunday with my basic nude pump, but I really envision them with a neon or metallic heel.
