Hey party people! How was your weekend? Mine was just fabulous. There is nothing like summer weekends, I tell you. No better excuse to spend the weekend at the pool or beach cooling off, on the go, or just being lazy (you can always blame it on the heat). We got a little bit of rest yesterday but have been on the go for the better part of the weekend. After this past week's heatwave, Saturday and Sunday were glorious days; yesterday being the better of the two. We spent Saturday in Long Island at a backyard barbecue doing what we do best: eating, drinking, talking and lounging by the pool. If we had our own pool, I'm pretty sure that's where you'd find us about 95% of the summer. Sunday, we checked out the new flea market in LIC in Queens. It is not as big as the Brooklyn Flea, but still definitely worth a run through to see all the cool stuff they have. And a trip into the city is never complete without a stop through SoHo. It's disappointing that summer is so short of a season. Retail stores are already putting out their fall merchandise and although I love the Fall season, it's depressing to think the cold looms right around the corner. Yes, I'm in denial. 'Til then I'll be making the most out of the summer. So should you. 
By the way, I can't get this song OUT. OF. MY. MIND. Doesn't it make you want to take off all your clothes?! Oh. That's just me huh?!

O happy day loves! How was your weekend? We experienced a heatwave here in New York! With the humidity matching the temperatures, we ran to the pool yesterday to cool off. The pools were packed with people attempting to beat the heat, rightfully so. Our little guy had so much fun splashing around, as little babies can only do, and meeting little friends. With his little swim outfit, he was the brightest and most stylish kid at the pool. The heat and pool always make my energy soar....downward. As much as I love swimming, all that frolicking in the water really zaps a girl's energy...err, and makes me hungry! As soon as we got in yesterday, I had some gelato and called it a night. I attempted to read but very quickly the book was looking back at me as I dozed off. The way today is going looks like it'll be a repeat performance tonight. *yawn*
